Hi attfield
Welcome to the forum.
I see you are, like me, an Amateur theatre practitioner, so I assume money is tight:
I have a Eurolight DMX splitter, about €100, and an unbranded one of these,https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005102820459.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.11.4eeb41b2lnmS6N&algo_pvid=d71cc073-7f96-41ce-aff3-ca1cef33021f&algo_exp_id=d71cc073-7f96-41ce-aff3-ca1cef33021f-5&pdp_npi=4%40dis!GIP!30.31!19.4!!!38.61!!%40211b88ec16912512879615949e1813!12000033424843780!sea!GI!181883461!&curPageLogUid=yJjFDkV9XM9k bought off Ebay.
Both have worked faultlessly.

Try Sale Nomads https://salenomads.org.uk/
They are very near you.
If I still lived in Northwich I would have popped around to help you.
I now live in Spain, so bit far to travel.

We've been using our minims at 500W for over twenty years without damage. I believe Gerry has been doing similar on his stage.
Correct. No noticeable damage.

A quick delve into her profile and a Google search shows she is the theatre technician at the Macready Theatre in Rugby.

There is also MultiPlay, written and very well supported by one of our Blue- Room members, David Duffy.
It's free and available from https://www.da-share.com/software/multiplay/

Where did you buy the Cobs?
I'd be interested to know how you get on with them.

Let me guess, you bought a few bits, maybe £20 and thought it's not much, I'll just donate it, then after a couple of years it's added up to hundreds and you still haven't claimed anything back?
You know you love it really.I stopped counting when I past the 4000 GBP mark.

There's an Android app called "Audio Cues"that will do all, and more, than you ask for.

Could there be a problem getting the paint onto the insides of the marquee panels as they are collapsed?
I know the yellow brick road will probably outside the marquee but paint will be carried inside on peoples feet.Perhaps a piece of suitable carpet inside the entrance for people to wipe their feet on might reduce the problem?

There are still GSX desks out there which are still being used by amateur groups who maybe only do
a handful ofone or two shows a year, and being able to expand their channel counts could keep these groups (whomaybedefiantly can't afford an up to date desk) afloat.Very true.
I'd love to upgrade my 25 channel GSX to the full 125 Channels.

Both my LC2412s have Pin2 as Data- and Pin3 as Data+ which I believe is the standard pinouts.

Do you know if the 5 to 3 pin adapter actually works?
Has it been wired correctly?

I had one for a deleted topic 'From: Free Equipment'
Can't ever remember posting such a topic.
The message had me totally confused for a while.

Looks good. Personally I would use "SND" rather than "SFX", reserving "SFX" for any Special Fx, like smoke or pyros.
Never seen/heard SND used for sound effects.
Have seen/heard/used the following:-
LX for lighting cues
SFX four sound cues
FX for special effects

I'm sure there are some Youtube videos of stationary steam trains.
Worth a quick look.

Our GSX does that too. I leave it powered up for 24 hours then do the full on system reset with the little white internal button. That usually gets it going again.
I did a system reset and reloaded the software about an hour ago.
All up and running now.
