  1. V2.0 Added a lock lever that keeps the clamp assembly in vertical position. No need to deal with the coupler's wing nut (now replaced with a nylock nut): https://youtu.be/JMHTy1cEhGM 🙂
  2. Yes, I've seen some solutions like Doughty's Space Saver but they are all too tall even in their folded state. The Space Saver is 50mm high and would prevent closing of the case lid. (my solution ads only 20mm to the yoke's height) Besides, the Space Saver is rated for 100kg so is a massive overkill for a single 4.5kg fixture..
  3. Here is my take on adding folding clamps to my new 200w LED PAR64s. The lights came in a custom road case with a very shallow lid - no room for permanently attached clamps ☹️ So, I came up with this idea, consisting of a simple 50mm coupler, a piece of 10mm nylon tube, two 3D printed adapter parts, a moving handle m10 bolt and nut. If anyone wants the STL file for the 3D parts, let me know and I'll put it up on Thingiverse. See the video (narration is in Hebrew but you'll get the idea..) 🙂
  4. This was my solution.. After a long time of providing tech support and repair to several dance studios, I came to the conclusion that the solution to their (tech) problems will be to replace the small (yet complicated for them..) mixer with a different control unit. This unit had to be simple and intuitive to operate, be truly fool-proof, will include extended blue-tooth connectivity as well as a unique limiter circuit that limits the level sent to the amplifier (or active speakers). So after some development and tests I came up with the KIS (Keeps It Simple..) that includes all the above features. It has already been installed in some local dance studios and all ere very pleased with it. :)
  5. The Peavey USB-P is exactly that. Small, rigid, reasonably priced and easily connects to any computer (plug and play..) I have a few for some years now with no issues what so ever. It is my favorite 2ch USB-DI. P.S. +1 for Multiplay. Love it! :)
  6. Not mine! I agree with your concern, though at least on the visible caster the brake seems to be locked. I hope the other three are also.. :)
  7. Hi, Here is another idea.. I recently designed and built for a colleague a set of four adapters for mounting 3 VRX top cabs on a stand. The adapters are designed so that the stack's COG is located right over the pole, so the setup is properly balanced. Hope this helps.. :)
  8. Exactly. These are receiver/transmitter modules. They are in (wireless) receive mode by default, Unless they receive the DMX data by the wired connection - then they switch to transmit mode. The flashing red LED indicates transmitting. If a fixture that is connected to the wireless module outputs DMX (as in Master mode) the module changes to transmit mode. :)
  9. Very useful indeed! MP is my default program player, but when I have to play continuous background music I switch to WinIsd as it has a nice Xfade plugin. And speaking of playlists, If a playlist could be edited while active/playing (like Winisd..) that would be also very handy. :)
  10. Thank you, I stand (in queue..) corrected. :)
  11. e.g. during rehearsal of a track when a temporary restart/que point within the track is needed. This feature, if enabled would position a pointer/mark on the track's bar (in the que control window). This mark could then be dragged to the desired position where the playing of the track will start. Also, when this 'Mid Que' feature is enabled, it would defeat the track's Advance attribute and after stopping will replay from the 'Mid Que' point. Got a little carried away but I hope I was clearer now.. :)
  12. Hi David, Here is my list.. 1. Que lists directory isn’t fixed. When loading or saving a que list, the default directory that opens is the one last used to load music tracks from. 2. If the que control window is open, and any of its functions are ticked by the mouse, the keyboard shortcuts for the main que list window are disabled. The pointer needs to be clicked anywhere on the main window to regain control. 3. If a track is Loaded into a que list and is later edited by another program (e.g. trimmed), MP flags an error as it doesn't match the original track parameters. Maybe a 'refresh' button could be added to solve this by retaining the original file name and path and just updating the track's length. And while I'm at it, here is my wish list.. 1. Make the que control window zoomable so that a wider track ruler is possible for greater resolution. 2. Add a time scale to the track ruler in the que control window. 3. Add an option for setting a dynamic que point within a track. 4. Add Midi Time Code generator per track, with display and offset setting. Thanks a lot,
  13. Great news! MP is still my favorite in spite of some bugs/limitations that I learned to live with or work around.. Over the years I recommended MP to many colleges and show/dance directors as it offers some nice and unique features that are not available on most play back softwares. May I suggest you set up a basic develop/support forum page for users to contribute their ideas ets. as well as supplying a donation address (Paypal?) Thank you and keep up this great work!
