  1. @kgallen Currently it is unknown what will be in the rig. Probably some led profiles or replacement led pars, A couple of led cyc lights / battens ( call them what you like). And the ability to run 6 traditional fixtures. 1st job is to find a desk and the cost of it to run the 6 current led pars / or the replacement lanterns before proceeding any further as Currently thier desk uses all it channels for the led pars with no ability to run anything else and the pars are definitely failing and the desk though serviceable is too small and getting odd moments. Hence the original question of appropriate desk in place of the jester ml which I hadn't realised was no more ! Hope this clears things up. Nick
  2. Thanks @ianknight will dig it out of its flight case at the back of the store repair pile and check if its a leap or bull and I will probably not be able to check the os as im not sure it will power up after its smoking session 😢💨
  3. Thank you @Hilary Watts that's the thoughts I had and the information is greatly appreciated and useful for this process.
  4. What about these behringer 24 channel lx desks I've seen advertised? Do they have fixture libraries/manual and memory control & programming options? Do they do moving lights? Anyone know anything about them? Thanks
  5. @Edward- Z88 reminds me I must get my leap frog up to you for fault diagnosis/ repairs. After some smoking from it !
  6. I never seemed to have an issue with it on the Sirius maybe because I was "used to it"!
  7. We liked the Sirius and frog but disliked the strand ones.
  8. @DrV We all liked the sirius, easy to use and programme, lots of options could be fitted to control whatever racks were about. The weight didn't bother us as we were still lumping mini2 and tempus racks around which made it quite light in comparison to everything else. The frog and fat frog we liked as it was very similar to the Sirius. Though the 48ch bull frog gives the Sirius a close shout on the weight.
  9. Zero88 even sent out a full on new demonstration desk to the venue (after training by Zero88 to all venue staff). Issues still arose though not quite as bad, though still underlying issues persisted, can't remember what exactly now as it was a long time back these days. In the end the venue changed desks ( twice) not sure what they are using now. But it's not the flx
  10. @ianknight Ideally they would need a jester ml to replace the normal jester they have as currently its channels are all used up running thier current limited system which is also starting to fail so they are looking for a limited budget system upgrade desk and fixtures and to allow them to continue to be a venue for a council arts organisation. I hadn't realised that the jester ml had been stopped. We had issues with the early flx which put us off those. So they are after a manual / memory/ DMX fixtures desk ( like the jester ml) so am currently unsure what else is comparable / suitable for the dual purpose role. ( I'm a Sirius/frog/ fat frog/flx & stand mx / lbx user, over the years don't know the other types out there)

    Jester ml

Good evening all. Does anyone know what zero88 replaced the jester ml with?? Have been asked to replace a different broken desk with one! but apparently they stopped making it back in 2017! Is this the case? Thanks.
  12. @J Pearce Now why would that not suprise me? 🤔
  13. Does anyone still use or hire the 1 and 2k ripple tanks? Reason for asking is that they are getting harder to find and many have stopped hiring them! What is the modern equivalent or solution for the lack of ripple tanks? Thanks
  14. Wait til a tempus rack start billowing smoke out at you or a small little flame, that's definitely disconcerting! And a little pungent
