  1. Exactly what I was after in this case also. We do a lot of jobs with our RCF NXL 24-A where we once landed on "10min over 12 o'clock" was about right for that job. And on some bigger jobs I can feel like I don't have that headroom anymore on the mixer, since I have to go above 0 on faders sometime. It would be much easier to just MAX them out on the speaker, and don't worry about whether me or my colleague checked that the volumes are the same, and of course just adjust the Main in the mixer.. I sent RCF a message about this and asked them also. Will be interesting what the have to say about it. /Christopher
  2. Need advice and to straighten out something about amplifiers! Where my colleague and I are in a disagreement! In the "old days" I was told to never run a amp on 100% volume, and instead leave volume at 90-95% and this was to not run the amp to hard and to have more headroom? Is this still applicable? Or is it just a myth? My colleague thought that I was wrong in setting our new RCF TT 08-A II speakers att 100% yesterday when setting up a job, and the discussion started if this was wrong or not.. My beliefs are that this is not applicable in modern (Class D) amps, does anybody else have any other input on this? Some powered speakers of course have printed at the volume knob where eg. 0db Line signal should be set, but for example the TT 08 only has the markings "-∞" to "MAX". Best regards /Christopher
  3. I would go for 1% 250mW metal film, they aren't expensive. Which is what the source-lists suggest. Thank you! I missed that info in the source-list! ??‍♂️
  4. Thank you! That helps a lot! :) And thank you to the author of the document! A quick question that came to mind, if anyone knows the question too: The resistors does not mention any other value than the resistance, what effect should they handle? is 1/4W enough? And are there any of them that needs tighter tolerance that 5%? Thank you in advance! /Christopher
  5. Thank you! I will look them up! Though, I first have to dig into all components to see if I can find which is needed.. the parts list only mentions the capacitance for the caps for example, so need to up some more info I think.. There seems to be some that have linked to other spreadsheets in the thread, but most links are broken (some are dating back to 2014)
  6. Haven’t looked extremely well, but most of the CPC numbers go to nothing unfortunately, may have gotten a result on one or a couple of searches, that’s it unfortunately.
  7. Yeah, my thinking too. Though many posts with documents and pictures in the thread has broken links, but trying to figure the values out. Except for the footprints, how sensitive is the voltage rating for the capacitors? The PSU schematic has some references for voltage, but the Beltpack schematic only mentions the capacitance.. /Christopher
  8. Hi everybody. found this thread a while back while searching for plans for a diy solution for a party line intercom, And this BlueCom is amazing in what you guys have accomplished! :) I was wondering if anyone has any up-to-date BOM/parts list, since I'm not sure about some of the values from the parts list. I have started looking at all the parts in the 1.2b parts list, but most, of not all? parts from CPC seems to be unavailable from CPC (most likely they have been replaced by other parts). I should mention I'm in Sweden, and Farnell I think is the better solution for ordering parts here, right? Best Regards /Christopher
