As well as our existing 640-seat main auditorium and a 110 seated capacity multi-function studio we have a new 100-seated in the round studio space and two brand-new multi-use flexible spaces. This role is a key position within the Albany Theatre’s technical department. As Deputy to Dan Tilley, it is the chance for an ambitious and talented technician to learn how to run a very successful department that includes, as well as other full-time professionals, a team of skilled and committed volunteers, all working to deliver the Albany Theatre’s technical operations to the highest standard. You will have a good knowledge of best working practices, as well as health and safety legislation, accompanied by leadership skills and an ability to inspire paid technical staff and volunteers. You will bring to the role a strong, demonstrable knowledge of live sound production and a good knowledge of other working areas within a busy working theatre such as lighting, AV production, stage management and counterweight flying, together with a strong familiarity – ideally expertise – with Mac OS including Qlab and the Microsoft Office suite.   2. Technical Assistant Full time: 37.5 hour a week averaged over a rolling 17-week period. This role involves working unsociable hours, weekends and Bank holidays. The role is based on-site in Coventry. Salary: £21,000. Interviews will be held the week beginning 11th September. The Albany is about to open new facilities, adding two acoustically isolated studio theatres, two additional multi-use flexible spaces and a new foyer, bar and café to our existing 630 seat main house theatre. As a technical assistant you will have a demonstratable knowledge of sound, Lighting, AV and counterweight flying systems. Experience working on an ETC Ion XE 20 with both generic and DMX fixtures is desirable. However, experience working on a different lighting desk models is acceptable. This role involves working with both technicians and technical volunteers, so an outward and pleasant disposition is required. We have 2 posts that we are looking to fill. Deputy Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager. Both positions are fixed-term contracts on a freelance basis. Deputy stage manager. Contract to run from 15th November 2021 to 27th December 2021 inclusive Salary of £626 Per Week. Reporting to both the Production Manager and Artistic Director you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of a small Stage management team from the start of the rehearsal process thought to production completion.   5. Hello Blue roomers. Firstly my apologies if this is in the wrong section (admin, please move the topic to the appropriate section if required) Does anyone have a rate card for scenic artists or set painters that are fairly standard they could share? I'm not trying to undercut anyone as I am looking to hire someone for a production later in the year. The venue size is 640 and it would be a 5-week run. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
