  1. Hi Taylord,

As kgallen and pritch have queried, what protocol are you using to send DMX over Ethernet, sACN or ArtNet?

As kgallen suggested, feel free to post on the Zero 88 Forum or email me directly if you wish.

What IP addresses are the FLX and Node set to? Are you using a single Ethernet cable to link the two, or is it part of a larger network?

If you have any questions let me know.

  2. Hi Viktor,

The smallest console we make with 2 universes is the FLX S24 console. This is limited to a maximum of 48 fixtures though...

If a higher fixture count is required along with more advanced feature set, the full size FLX console may be worth a look...

Obviously I won't be able to provide an unbiased opinion of console operation versus Quartz, but thought it is worth mentioning the Zero 88 offering for this sort of criteria.

If you have any questions feel free to drop me an email.

  3. Seems like I have a MK1 desk, not a MK2...Found the correct user manual...Lights working, so all good.

Yes Alcora MK1 didn't have the ability to soft patch. You should find the Blackout button works correctly outside of Super User. For reference Alcora MK1 had a grey front panel, and MK2 had a blue front panel.

Glad to hear you have it working how you wanted.

  4. So, let's say I put all the par 18s on one address 150, for example and on 3 chnnel setting (rgb) I set fader 13 on the alcora to 150 I then need to set fader 14 to 151 and fader 15 to 152? to get R,G,B?

    is my thinking sound?

    Yes, that's correct.

  5. thanks, I'll need manual to assign faders to lamps.

    Hi RedDog,

Page 36 of the manual goes through DMX patching on the Alcora MK2. You may find this helpful, as it allows you to customise the DMX address each channel fader controls. Each channel fader can also control multiple addresses.

If you have any questions let me know.

  6. First of all I think the Level 12 has been modified. If I recall aright they came from the factory with one 8 pin locking din per 6 channels. Pins 1-6 channels 7 +20v 8 common return. I can think of one particular firm which supplied a lot of schools with Green Ginger/Zero 88 combinations at that time but usually using the GG standard 6 channel 12 way pack. As the three dimmer packs are fed by 2 16 amp industrial types I wonder if the two which must be paired are the two which don't work. Sorry I don't see any alternative here to disconnecting the 240v, prising the cupboard off the wall and simply taking everything apart and starting from scratch. I suspect the 6 pin leads might be 1-4 channels 5 +20v 6 common return. I agree Micropack 2. Micropack 1 did not have channel fuses on front panel if I remember correctly.

Yes the Level 12 must have been modified to suit the Green Ginger. All analogue equipment as standard shipped with the much more common 8 pin DIN sockets, for 6 channels per cable, plus desk supply from dimmers plus common.

The Level 12 therefore had a pair of outputs, 1-6 and 7-12.

  7. Hello,

I believe someone has spoken to our Service Manager Keith about this.

Please email us the show file to support@zero88.com and we'll take a look, however we haven't heard of anything like this before.

There isn't an option on Jesters for saving only part of the show file. Are all cues/submasters/palettes still there? Is it just the fixtures that have been removed?

    All the best,

    Edward
