Thanks I sort of assumed that, However someone did mention the pipe goes past a sensor, and I assume that feeds back somewhere although maybe that would just throw up an error message

Thanks for those suggestions. I have done things like taking the quick connect out of the equation. I have taken the pipe into the heater and can feel air but no liquid at all is coming. I will try the priming idea

I used to use these all the time but since LEDs they have languished in my store. I have decided to use a pair in a show and setup the DMX address and fixture into a Solution desk.
However for some reason the scroll control seems the wrong way round. I have 100% set on a sub master for the full travel of the scrollHowever when the sub goes to 5% the scroll screams to the other end then as you increase moves back towards the start colour
Its almost like it needs to be reversed
Any ideas where I should look?

I have fitted a new fluid pump. It’s making a rhythmic scavenging noise with no fluid flowing. Does anyone have ideas where else to look.
heating coil is fine
air pump seems fine
running with no filter

Update. New fluid pump fitted. Absolutely no change although the pump is now making more of a rythmic scavenging noise because no fluid id flowing. Air pump is working though. Any other ideas. There is certain irony. This is good brand machine with low operating theatre hours, not a cheap Chinese machine

Not a stupid question but actually am running with no filter to get it working. I seemed clooged up but made no difference without

Thanks Kevin. I have ordered a new fluid pump. My one concern is the unit is too smart and it might actually be feedback sensor not working, we will see. I have taken the fluid pump apart and put back together again with no success. I will update!

I am trying to sort out my community theatre Unique 2.1
I have read through this thread to see if anything helps. What does the air pump actually do? I feel it might be working but the fishtank type liquid pump isnt. I feel a certain amount of air coming out of the pipe feeding the heating coil but no liquid. They is a clicking noise from the liquid pump proportional to DMX setting. but no liquid is being drawn up the pipe. What I dont know is if the is a closed loop system stopping fluid pumping because of another system failure. ie replace the pump but thats not the problem!

Yous should talk to Eddie Stephens as we have been running rechargeables for some years!

Thanks for all the replies. I think we are looking at a swap for a B grade. A fixed price makes more sense

One of my theatres has a pack that is no longer is actually radiating although the pack telemetry says it is . Doent work with more than one receiver. If I fail to get it work I was planning to trade it in for a cost, but I am not sure Sennheiser still do this?

I cant remember what exactly I paid with import duty but I think it worked out at about £100 each all up. I bought these in black. They came in sets of four in handy carry bags

I bought eight from China direct via Alibaba and very please with them. The cost about £100 each so fit your budget

I thought it would be something like that . Probably better I sell it to someone with the correct licence! Thanks for the comprehensive answer.

Although most of my kit is Sennheiser G3 sets of radiomics I have also got channel 70 stuff as a back up for higher numbers required on a job. I just bought used G2 beltpack which is marked 833-866Mhz but on powerup is 518-554Mhz with no means of tuning outside that. It was a cheapish Ebay purchase from a seller of lots of things. Is it possible a previous owner has recycled a case and therefore its actually a Band A device? Is the re any way of tuning higher?
-
Thanks for the suggestions chaps. I assume if its marked 240v then putting that across the coil should do something? It doesnt, that why I am thinking its possibply the pump rather than the control side?

I first looked at the problem during lockdown but now I am up and running again I though I would revisit the problem. I think I have narrowed the problem down to the fluid pump not working. Its possible its seized up. Having taken it apart I actually think the coil might have failed, not sure thoughA replacement pump, model is SP-35a (m24050) List price seems to be maybe £80. Does anyone know of a cheap replacement. I think they are used in many devices ie Chauvet

Basically the unit is losing registration , sometime on startup and sometimes part way through a show. Restarting usually gets it running right. I imagine its a detector that is intermittently not read correctly. Any ideas please?

I have another issue now, but I thought I would belatedly update on this issue. It turned out the LED engine had failed. The Chinese manufacturer sent a replacement engine and it proved pretty easy to replace and all was fine, although I am really only now getting the kit in use again. Hopefully it will be okay now! I am about to start another thread on a different matter.

I am sure I used these for the last panto before lockdown with now problems. This year it seems to me a bit DMX in orientated. Ie no lead in it sits fine. Plug in a lead with a termination and it occasionally farts smoke. It’s just smoke , no illumination. Going onTims last comments I wonder if the feed pipe in one is slightly differently positioned so drips are leaking onto the heater. I am not totally involved with this show as I have my own panto to contend with. Trying to help sort though

Until I had to think about sourcing some robotics for a show, I had nor realised they had been in financial trouble. Now most of their listed distributers dont any more. Stage Electrics hope for a delivery in ten days which is very very borderline. Does anyone know of a stock already held anywhere?

I have been donated some prewired barrels and I would like to modify them and use in my theatre. I think the cheapest way to do it is to recycle some soca cable that maybe is in a pile somewhere. Otherwise can anyone suggest the best place to source suitable mains multicore cable? 1.5mm will do

Thanks for those tips

Elsewhere someone suggest using DMX polarity swap I suppose like with some old Martin kit? In answer to that I say the scrollers always used to work in a normal way. There are various DMX cables in the feed but as far as I can see the rest of the rig is working as expected, LED pars, some movers etc so I cant see the cables are swapped anywhere because everything else appears okay!
