  1. I own clear-com CC-60 and Telex PH-1 headsets, and I've only adjusted the sidetone once, the first time... I have used the bluecoms in combination with tecpro and RTS telex (with CCB-1 interface), and no problems at all...
  2. During rip out today I managed to have a little play in a 'real world' environment, the system in use last night was 3 bluecom belt packs, one on the end of about 30m of FST from the 721 and the 2nd on a 20m mic cable then 6m link to the 3rd. All nicely zero'd on circuit 'A'. Moved the beltpacks to the location of the 721 by adding 2 20m mic cables which made no difference. Changing to circuit 'B' meant all 3 packs had obviously more side tone and loads with my home made PSU. Each time I could easily re-zero them. I repeated with 2 BP1's and a BP2, zero'd them on circuit 'A' then moved to 'B' with no apparent change. On my home made PSU there was just a little more side tone. Exactly the same results happened with a second 721. From this, my conclusion is the bluecom's are more sensitive to variations than Techpro. This is observation/feedback, not critisism. I'm really didn't understand what is you problem, but let me tell you that I made my Bluecom's following both beltpacks and psu schematics. I has been using my bluecoms in the last 3 years, in different "real world" indoor and outdoor conditions, in "real world" productions, even with 50 or 60m wires, and I've had zero problems or faults. Zero. The system is solid as rock Having said that, a quick question: is this system compatible with our comm's? https://fccid.io/BYMBH80074/User-Manual/manual-221208.pdf Best regards!
  3. As usual, you are very kind guys! I'm currently using this device connected to one of our Blue-com headset output, for a stage mobile wireless camera http://www.jkaudio.com/images/BlueSet-lg.png With this headset The performance is so so, because the range is very limited (15m theoretical). I suffer constant disconnections I'm looking for an improvement. The device commented earlier have 20m theoretical The Altair device looks promising BTW with its 60 - 100m theoretical I'm also have been watching this headset, which I think has dynamic mic http://peltorcomms.3m.com/admin/picture/20121220101606.jpg The opened mic switch is not a problem for us, because we use our comms in that way all the time.
  4. Hello! Regards! http://www.jkaudio.com/downloads/user-guides/JK-Audio-Interloop-User-Guide.pdf In your opinion, is this device compatible with our Blue-com's?
  5. 10nF? Should be 10uF. You could try a 1uF which are already used as C17/C18 if you have some spare. Damm! I readed wrong! Sadly, the C17/C18 one didn't solve the issue neither
  6. John, Thank you, again , for all your efforts Unfortunately, changing the c22 for a 10nF one (same as c2) make no difference for me Best regards
  7. I did the same 'thump' in my system. Some beltpacks louder than others... never fixed it at all, but the set run solid as a rock since 2015 Check for a missing termination of the audio line
  8. There's no schematic in the technical documentation so I can't be sure but I think it probably will. Confirmed, the Telex CCB-1 "Balanced Audiocom to Unbalanced Clear-Com" box that I mentioned in my last post, does work very well. Now, I can use a Telex intercom and our bluecom's together in the same line
  9. No, the schematic shows that it doesn't have a centre tapped transformer nor an isolating capacitor. However, if you don't need to supply power to the Telex system from the Bluecom system it would be easy enough to just add the capacitor yourself. Hi John and forum friends! Back again with Telex compatibility This device, will do the work? http://www.rtsintercoms.com/us/rts/product/CCB-1/1304 Cheers!!
  10. Just reporting back, got a Tecpro BP111. It match perfectly with our Bluecom's Bought also a JK blueset, I'm waiting the package arrive to test it..
  11. John I found a couple of better devices http://www.jkaudio.com/blueset.htm With http://www.jkaudio.com/interloop.htm Or https://www.sena.com/es/product/tufftalk/
  12. Hi John That's mean that the wireless Clear-Com would listen our Blue-Com's in low level? Or the Clear-com would listen loud and the blue-com listen it in low level?
  13. Hello chaps Our Blue-com's, will work with this system? http://bh.hallikainen.org//wiki/uploads/HaroldHallikainen/20140509122752.pdf Regards
  14. No, the schematic shows that it doesn't have a centre tapped transformer nor an isolating capacitor. However, if you don't need to supply power to the Telex system from the Bluecom system it would be easy enough to just add the capacitor yourself. Only if I have a telex power supply, right? You mean the telex system with its power supply and the bluecom with its power supply? isolated with a capacitor?
  15. Fantastic! thank you! Do this device, the same work? http://www.radialeng.com/icecube-specs.php
  16. Bluecom is fully compatible with Clear-com?
  17. Yes, adjusting the DIP switches changes the mic gain. Your Clearcom headsets should work OK with the Telex boxes as well as with Bluecom. Just remember that Bluecom is the only system I know of which uses a bridge configuration for the headphone amp so is potentially much louder than the rest! It also has the capability of altering the minimum headphone level (change the value of R27, currently 10R) which no other system has. Just reporting back When the telex ic-1 box is plugged in the bluecom PSU, a hard ground noise is audible When the telex ic-1 box is plugged in a Bluecom box, the call light is permanently on in the Bluecom (telex IC-1 doesn't have call button) You can listen the telex box in the Bluecom, with the loud ground noise, but you can't listen the bluecom in the telex box, I guess for the call sign open. So sad...
  18. There are a couple of differences between the Bluecom and Telex systems. Bluecom uses -10dBm as the signal level on the comms line. This is directly compatible with Tecpro & Stonewood/Granite Audio systems, but (taken from the spec. for the BP319) Telex appears to use 0dBm. It will work but you may have to increase the mic gain on Bluecom, adjust the sidetone setting and reduce the headphone gain. More significant is that the Telex system (again from the spec.) appears to use 20kHz signalling rather than DC so it won't be possible to use the all buttons between different types of beltpacks. Bluecom beltpacks should still be able to call other Bluecom compatible beltpacks and Telex beltpacks should be able to call other Telex beltpacks on a mixed system. The main thing is that nothing should be damaged by connecting the two types of beltpacks together but there will probably be a significant difference in the audio levels. Cool! With increasing the gain, you mean, adjust the DIP switches? My current headsets are Clear-com ones, with dynamic mics...
  19. Hello guys! A friend mine have Telex Audiocom intercoms We don't want mess something, so before to try, better ask We wanna use both systems together Is our Blue-com compatible with Telex? http://www.rtsinterc...?I=97628&lg=eng Best regards!
  20. Hi Guys! Just passed here to say hello, and give some feedback about the BlueCom's After use it in at least 2 show per month, they have zero faults, no problems at all. The only minor issue, is in one unit who the PPT switch fail. So, it is not a BueCom problem, just a provider material fail. I bought Clear-Com headsets, and the sound is very clear and loud. We had use it in very noise environment, with outstanding performance Again, thank you very much!! Cheers!
  21. Yes, pmiller had de key to my problem, but I did understand him... Thank you all people! And special thanks to Boatman, you are a incredibly nice man!! And also, you design is amazing, just like an pro intercom. If one of you go to Chile some time, count with me for whatever you need! Cheers!
  22. Hi Peter Thanks for your help I'll try to get the exact C17-C18 component My C17's are 1uF 50V multilayer capacitors, but I'n not sure if the dielectric is Y5V http://cpc.farnell.c...1000nf-50v.html
  23. Peter I made the PSU just like the schematics... The only difference, it that I use an half tho the components, I made a single channel PSU...
  24. Hi Peter Thank you for take a look I'm not sure what you mean with "Do you have the audio line termination components fitted at the power supply end?"... My power supply is a 24V 2.5A one, laptop computer style... I have no VDC drops with the call button pressed, and the power source was able to run 5 beltpacks during 5 hours he last weekend. I'll try to get a 5A one
  25. Hi everyone I'm from Chile I'm not technician, only a self taught (with very basic knowledge) electronic enthusiast I'm join to the forum, searching for a reliable intercom solution. First, I found the Rcrowdler Clonecom, and reading this forum, I realized that his design do not work... With the Boatman's priceless help, who with endless patience, cleared all me doubts, I did build successfully 5 beltpacks and 1 PSU!! I only have 1 minor issue.. When I press the call button, I listen a weird noise in the headphones http://youtu.be/WqHZA8tJeEc Boatman says that the C17 isn't blocking the DC signal.. Indeed, in the IC2 pin 6, in empty, shows -9VDC, when the call button is pressed, up to -13VDC My C17's are 1uF 50V multilayer capacitors... they have a 105 number I had change some components: NE5534, I actually use NE5534P TCA0372, I use TCA0372DP1 TL072, I use TL072IPE4 C13, 1nF 100V, I use 500V C19-C20, 47pF 200V, I use 500V R2 don't found 300R, use 330R R26 don't found 20K, use 22K ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I order the PCB's the iTead I order some components to RS, another to ebay, and others to a local electronic dealer I use this cheap headset's http://www.aliexpres...=66741155147814 I cut and eliminated the PTT switch, and put an XLR4 plug I use this boxes, whit a minor cuts and adjust, the PCB fits into.. http://www.aliexpres...=66730352097814 Yesterday, I use the 5 beltpacks in a 4 cameras and 1 director CCTV environment, with a flawless performance. I wanna say thanks!! to the designers, the testers, especially to the Boatman Cheers!!
