Dave m
Many many years ago I did a project with four carousels projecting from centre to NSEW and on auto timer. I am pretty sure that I built a rig that basically split one input to four outputs with no electronics involved?I honestly can't remember if I did or if I used 4 x auto timers anybody know if the 1>4 works? ta dave
pumphouse
Do you just want to change the slides or control lamp fades as well? If it's just changing the slides, that's only a relay contact so one 4-pole relay would do that easily. Individual lamp fades would need a triac to drive each lamp. Jason. Dave m
thanks yes just slide change for an art piece. I have a dim memory of making an ali box with 4 tails and a socket then the timer device (kodak) plugged in

I have a dim memory of making an ali box with 4 tails and a socket then the timer device (kodak) plugged inIf the projectors are all similar, then you could probably just use 4 diodes to parallel them when the timer goes off, and isolate them from each other in between. Depends on the timer contact being substantial enough to carry 4x the normal current to run all 4 solenoids at once, so a 4-pole relay (which could be powered from one of the projectors) might be safer. dbuckley
The slide remote is a six pin DIN. There's also a multi plug which has the forward and reverse functions and other things on it, including the ability to have an external dimmer, but if all you need is advance then a DIN plug is much easier connector to obtain. 1 Backwards2 Forwards3 Common +ve (about 24V)4 Focus motor5 Focus motor6 0V. Connect common (3) to 1 or 2 to make the thing go previous or next slide. Four pole relay is the thing to us. Keep the projector controls isolated. Don't go mixing the internal supplies of the projectors! There's no low voltage logic involved, it's motors and contacts and the odd relay.
