Generic fixtures in grand MA 3d

What exactly do you mean by 'generic lantern files'? I'm not really too familiar with the GrandMA, but certainly in Hog-world any generic lantern, regardless of make/type/whatever, is just patched as a Desk Channel (i.e. a dimmer). Can't you do that with the GrandMA?

Hi,

Sorry. In grand ma you can click and drag fixtures up to your 3d visualisation but you have to open the folder to get the list of fixtures first. In the generics section there is nothing and I wondered if there are any files that go in it?

Thanks,

Daniel

IIRC

its just a symbol of the dimmer channel.

There is 8 bit dimmer, 8 bit dimmer and 16 bit control etc.

I noticed Mr Lambett joined the forum the other day maybe he could shed more light onto it.

Is this you playing with the OLE or actually using the desk??

PM me if you can be more specific, as I have a GMA almost in front of me.

Sorry. I dont have the grand MA desk. I am using grand MA 3d which is on my computer to produce 3d visualisations for lighting shows.

The generic lantern files are missing so I cant add any to the design.

Thanks,

Daniel
