Innovation Productions Posted November 18, 2022 Share Posted November 18, 2022 HIRE TECHNICIAN (full-time, £18,800 - £20,748 per annum) Innovation Productions are a dynamic company providing a range of technical support to the Events and Entertainment Industry, including concerts, parties, theatre and TV. Based in Barnsley, Yorkshire, Innovation Productions specialise in the hire, installation and sales of audio, lighting, AV and staging equipment. The role: As an integral part of the hire departments operations, your role is to ensure equipment is prepared and deliveries happen safely and on time, in the best possible condition. You'll assist with set up, preparation and occasional operation of hire equipment. General duties include: Prepare equipment for hire and produce relevant paperwork. Check equipment back into stock on return and to update the hire stock software Test equipment as required Clean and maintain equipment to a high standard Assist with manufacture / repairs of equipment. Make deliveries / collections in suitable vehicle. Safe loading and unloading of vehicles Perform basic vehicle checks and maintenance Skills: Good DIY stills (e.g. use of hand tools and power tools) Basic electrical knowledge (e.g. able to wire connectors) Ability to work at heights safely and confidently Confident driving of 3.5T vans. (For driving positions) Good communication skills – both written and verbal Computer literacy and IT skills Punctual and smart, professional manner Team player - strong interpersonal skills Proactive, with aptitude and willingness to learn (use of equipment at Innovation Productions Ltd) Ability to work under pressure and to resolve situations calmly and diplomatically. Education and qualifications: Good standard of education Industry related qualification preferred but not essential Electrical/electronic qualifications preferred but not essential Clean Drivers License (for vehicle insurance) Training and career progression: Training will be offered to suitable candidates for certain skill sets, including; soldering, Forklift Truck training, equipment and software.
