Custom Circuit Board design / print recommendations

In this instance the double sided PCB is the thinnest and there will be little if any cost difference. The postage will probably cost more than the PCBs.

Before you proceed it's worth mentioning what is going on the PCBs. You mentioned LEDs and also photo resistors. If it's sensors then the PCB can be used as is, but if using LEDs there will either need to be resistors at your control circuit or on the PCB to limit current through them.

The only variable you should need to change is the quantity.

 

Single sided PCBs from China are only marginally cheaper than double-sided but the latter makes for a much more compact design. What's going to make that board expensive is the fact that it's over 12" long. If you can adapt your design to only three LEDs (which will almost halve the length of the board) it will be much cheaper although you will of course need nearly twice as many boards

 

Try running that PCB through their quote system. It's cheaper than I expected.

thankyou, I've uploaded it, gone with all the defaults and even splashed out on express delivery. That was a lot less painful than I was expecting
