I've not seen that happen. There can be some replugging needed at the start to get everything working. But I agree a hardware device like Atem Mini has its place when you just need plug in and go. I used an Atem-1me for a long time until its death by overheating and it was an amazingly capable device. The multiview arrangement on the mini is a show stopper in my situation though.
