Trantec handheld wiring

Anyone any idea what colour goes with which?

From circuit board is Red, bare copper and blue. The wires on the capsule are red, white and black...

 

Has the capsule ripped of our trantec handheld today. It’s an old mic S3500 VHF

My usual method for Trantecs is just to extend the broken ends of wire coming out of the mic body, rather than get involved with the PCB.

On the S3500 hand-held in front of me, there are only two wires to the capsule (yellow and black ...) which I would think is normal - only two ends of the coil. Unless you have a condenser capsule in yours? I can't see where things go on the main PCB because it is screwed in the case solder side up.

I seem to remember from mending S3.2s (which I presume are mechanically the same as the S3500) that there is a bare copper wire trapped in the thread for the basket - presumably to earth the basket.

Good point, that rings a bell, I think there is supposed to be - I'm not so sure it is there and working on the one I opened up ...

I would assume Red is Red & Blue is White (though if it's a dynamic head it doesn't matter), but the lack of response suggests it's not an urgent issue.
