Live Events Technician - Edinburgh

Tower Productions Ltd are seeking an experienced lighting and power technician.

 

The role is based in Edinburgh but with work throughout the U.K. and occasionally further afield. This is a full-time position on an annualised hours contract based on an average 40-hour week. Due to the nature of our business and subsequent workload, these hours will be varied with frequent weekend and night working to be expected.

Key skills should include:

• Fully conversant with current entertainment lighting and power equipment

• Experience in the set-up and operation of event lighting fixtures and control

• Experience in the design and set-up of power distribution systems

• Experience in a variety of events including festivals, weddings and conferences

• Proficient Avolites lighting desk operation

• Experience in sound, video and rigging would be advantageous

 

• A full UK driving license is an essential requirement for this role

Main responsibilities:

• Installing and operating a wide variety of lighting and power systems at live events

• Assist the project management team with lighting and power designs, along with risk assessments and method statements

• Assisting in the warehouse and yard with the preparation of equipment

• Liaison with the clients on site and ensuring their expectations are exceeded

 

• Manage and supervise the set-up, operation, and removal of equipment to the highest of standards

 

Salary: from £32,000 per annum dependent on experience.
