Need to spec a video playback system

Hi Gang,

 

I need to spec a video playback system that can be synced with an Avo Titan Mobile, to play back (initially at least) to one output. The key thing is syncing timings with the lighting desk - I don't mind if the lighting sends the trigger or if the video software does it, but the key thing is reducing control to only one button press to get cues in time.

 

We'll need to buy the hardware on which to run it, so to that end it doesn't matter if it's Windows or Mac, or something else.

It's probably best for the video server to send timecode (ideally embedded as an audio track in the video file) for the lighting desk to chase, rather than vice versa.

 

At that point QLab, PlaybackPro, even VLC would do the job.
