Enlightened are offering a student placement scheme, in which a successful applicant will work across all the departments of Enlightened in project management, warehouse work, installation and repairs work.

 

Enlightened deal with a wide range of clients, from corporate events and awards ceremonies to semi-permanent ice rinks, literature festivals and the Glastonbury music festival – at a wide range of scales, to deliver hires, event production and installations across the South West and beyond, at a very high standard.

 

With a friendly and close-knit community of staff, that encompasses a breadth of skills and knowledge from all corners of the industry, Enlightened can offer experiences for students with a wide variety of interests, from live events to installation and design and specification.

The Role and its Ideal Applicant:

 

As a placement student, you will able to explore and develop your skills in a variety of settings. Starting in the warehouse; preparing and maintaining equipment for jobs, you will gain a foundation for its use out on jobs, which will help you become familiar with Enlightened’s wide range of rental stock. After some time in the warehouse, you will be sent out on productions and installations, working across all departments within Enlightened. You will have the chance to design, program and run live events, help specify jobs that you are working on, and make a real contribution to the productions and installations that you are working on. You will have the chance to work alongside Enlightened employees, freelance technicians and local crew on festival sites, corporate events, installations and other events across the country. In time, you may be able to specialise in a particular department or discipline that interests you, be it lighting, sound, live events, installation, or any other part of the business.

 

The ideal applicant should be enthusiastic and self motivated, taking the initiative to ask questions and develop themselves, taking full advantage of all the opportunities that Enlightened has to offer. An understanding of the company’s values and team playing ethic is essential, and willingness to go above and beyond to provide outstanding customer experiences and to help out fellow employees is an absolute must.

 

Salary £12500 per year.
