timsabre
Doing a show this week with some Smartbats (the original with the 7-seg displays and "special" wireless DMX, not the plus).I have some vague recollection that when receiving radio DMX control they also output the DMX on the wired sockets which you can then use to connect other stuff.(I might be getting confused with the function where you can put wired DMX into the first one and it will transmit radio to the others) I won't have access to them till the show - can anyone confirm or deny this. It would be really handy to avoid running DMX cables all over a church as some fixtures are near the smartbats and 13A power, but would need long DMX cables. billy jim
Original smartbats will do this, but the wireless DMX is proprietary. You either need to input to a light as a TX then have the others as RX, or use a Prolights WiFi box to transmit, you can't use a W-DMX transmitter. timsabre
Yeah I have the prolights transmitter, just trying to remember if the receiving lights will also output
