The Musical Theatre Programme in the Department of Performing Arts, University Centre Shrewsbury, is an exciting new development which starts in September 2018.

 

We require an independent, flexible and organised technician to support the delivery of this exciting new venture. The role will involve supporting staff and students in the day to day operation of the programme, as well as operating during production, performance and assessment times. There will also be a requirement to demonstrate the use of technical equipment to students in classes as well as supervising their practise.

 

You will have experience of working in an educational and/or professional theatre environment, have excellent communication skills, a cheerful and patient professional attitude, and an understanding of the collaborative nature of the performing arts. An excellent working knowledge of lighting and sound technology for theatre is essential, and skills in the use of performance related computer software is desirable.
