9332ec Posted June 18, 2018 Share Posted June 18, 2018 Senior Video Technician Job Description The Senior Technician role includes preparing, setting up, installing/ Derigging, operating video equipment for events, working to a high standard. You should have a proven in-depth technical knowledge and experience, should demonstrate good team leadership and client facing skills with an ability to manage a project from start to finish. Required Experience:You must have at least 3 years experience working & operating on mid to large-scale events and be competent at delivering to a high standard in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor venues.Excellent understanding of the technical requirements needed to deliver live video including all video formats, signal types and associated cabling.Advanced knowledge of all video equipment and ability to provide technical adviceAdvanced fault-finding skills in the video disciplineAdvanced knowledge of LED screen build and programming, and the ability to create video schematics for the set-up of video systemsKnowledge of reading and understanding technical plans.Proven leadership qualities with at least 3 years of practical experienceAbility to run shows of all sizes and manage a small team of technicians in the set-up and operation of large scale eventsAdvanced knowledge of projection calculations including multi-projector line-ups and blend calculations for large screen set-ups, and the ability to work out power calculations and weight loads for video equipment being flown on eventsSalary: GBP 30,000 - 35,000 depending on experience. The position will benefit from a tax-free salary, medical cover & expat residency visa & annual flight.
