Hire Service Technician opportunity with Black Light

We currently have a vacancy as a Hire Service Technician within our Hire Department at our base in Edinburgh, reporting to our Hire Warehouse Manager.

 

 

The roll will involve;

• Testing, preparation and maintenance of our equipment.

• Ensuring all stock is kept up to date with the latest software/firmware and routine PAT Testing.

• Establishing and maintaining a maintenance schedule based on manufacturers guidelines.

• Liaising with the Head of Departments on routine maintenance and repairs.

• Assisting the Hire Warehouse Manager with general warehouse duties.

• Accurately assisting the Hire Warehouse Team in picking and preparing orders.

• Checking orders back in, in line with the appropriate documentation.

• Working on site assisting clients with training and repairs when required.

 

 

Your requirements;

• Ability to work alone, as well as being a team player.

• Strong communication.

• Ability to work under pressure to given time line.

• Driving Licence, with ability to drive vehicles up to 3.5t

• Polite, friendly and approachable by colleagues and clients.

• Ensuring the Hire Warehouse is kept tidy and organised.

• IT skills. (Microsoft Office)

• Flexible and willing to learn.

• Problem Solving.

• Intuitive thinker.

• Knowledge of Clay Paky, ETC, High End, Avolites and Robe Products.

• Ability to service Automated Lighting Fixtures, LED Fixtures and Consoles.

• Competent at providing technical support to users.

 

 

Advantageous to the role;

• Forklift Licence.

• Telehandler Licence.

• First Aid qualification.

• Working in a warehouse environment.

• PAT Testing Training/Qualification.

• Service Training from Industry Manufacturers.

 

Salary circa £25,000.
