Salary: £23,000-£27,000 commensurate with experience (one month on, one month off rotation)

 

Start Date: June 2018

 

Term: Fixed term contract to 13th September 2019 (with the possibility to extend)

The Role

 

Belinda King Creative Productions are seeking to recruit two Company Stage Managers (CSM) for an exciting new project at sea. The position is predominantly based onboard a vessel travelling between two ports in Europe.

 

 

The role will be land based for the first three months, during training and the rehearsal period, and once complete you will commence on a one month on, one month off rotation between the two Company Stage Managers, to run two production shows alternately.

 

 

As the CSM, you will coordinate all aspects of the theatre, and theatre company to ensure the successful delivery of each performance.

 

 

You must have excellent people management skills, as well as a very good understanding of the technical aspects on board, in order to ensure you can meet the high expectations by BKCP for stage management, and delivery of the product.

 

 

You will be involved from the rehearsal stage through to the live performances and will be required to operate basic automation onboard alongside the BKCP Production Tech.

 

 

 

Requirements

 

Applicants must have previous professional work experience in a stage management role, or within production/technical management, as well as an understanding of basic automation skills and good Health and Safety knowledge.

 

Strong organisational skills with excellent inter-personal skills are essential.

 

Previous experience of working at sea, or in a similar position would be advantageous.

 

The cost of flights, transfers, meals, medical insurance and uniform will be covered.
