Project Manager/Technician

 

EW Production Services Ltd is a unique production company based on the south coast. Providing full event solutions to events and festivals, alongside hire and sale of equipment and resources.

Alongside this exciting element, EWPSL also run a unique and specialist service to the Cruise industry. Working with some of the market leaders in the cruise industry, EWPSL supply, install and service both entertainment equipment in the form of sound and light as well as offering a bespoke LED conversion service.

 

We currently have a vacancy for a full time Project Manager/Technician to support the growing cruise demand whilst supporting the production element.

 

Our office and warehouse is based in Rye, East Sussex although expect travel to Southampton, Dover and internationally on-board ships whilst in service as and when required.

 

Normal office hours of 9-5 will form the bulk of the working pattern, with overtime expected on evenings and weekends particularly during the summer months. Flexibility is key.

 

Ideally the candidate will have a full UK driving licence and valid UK Passport.

 

Reports to Operations Manager.

 

Scope:

 

To represent EW Production Services Ltd at all times with a high level of pride, responsibility, care and consideration.

• To prepare full project quotes including visual representations when required, full costing’s and method statements.

• Creating solutions for projects both in entertainment solutions (Sales/Hire/Installation) and sales of domestic LED lighting.

• Product research, finding and specifying products that meet the project requirements.

• Managing project progress, creating purchase orders, liaising with the client, suppliers and the EWPSL team.

• Analysing project finances to ensure the project is meeting profit requirements,

• To assist with the installation of said project within the confines of the ships scheduling which is likely to require flexibility on your part.

• To sustain and develop existing relationships with our clients and where possible establish links to new opportunities.

• To provide on the job support on events

• To provide insight, direction and innovation in order to push the standards of EW Production Services Ltd in general

• Manage telephone enquiries and support the team where needed.

• To complete any other duties deemed necessary by the management.

 

 

Required Skill set:

 

• Technical knowledge of audio, video and lighting equipment

• A good understanding of electrical installations

• Knowledge and experience of working with the cruise sector

• Excellent time management skills

• Good telephone manner

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

• Excellent computer and writing skills

• Good practical electrical knowledge

• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate good problem solving skills

• Smart clean professional appearance

• Full UK Drivers Licence

• Comfortable with driving 3.5t vans

• Good team player

• A positive can do attitude with attention to detail and pride in their work

• Ability to work safely and confidently at height

Beneficial but not essential Skills

 

While we do not to expect applicants to have all of the following it would certainly be an advantage to have any of the following skills / certifications:

 

• Driving license for categories, B+E, C and C1.

• Forklift truck / Telehandler license

• IRATA / NRC rigging qualification

• Health and Safety Training

• Industry related training (Pasma / IPAF etc)• First Aid

• Willing to learn to drive vehicles up to 18 tons

• STCW Sea Survival Training

 

 

Education:

 

• Good standard of education (English GCSE A-C) including Maths /English

• Industry related education preferred but not essential

• Electrical / electronic qualifications preferred but not essential

• Training will be offered to suitable candidates for certain skill sets.

Salary: from £24500 PA negotiable depending on experience
