It offers an opportunity for an experienced technician to lead a small team (initially themselves and another technician) in providing support for the numerous events and concerts within the school, as well as providing support for the music technology aspects of the curriculum.Responsibilities: Leading, managing and delegating workloads of the team of ‘Technical Staff’ including stage managementLiaising with internal staff, external clients, etc, in order to provide comprehensive technical support for all eventsMaintaining the safest possible environment for students, colleagues, visiting staff and customers and ensuring that all H&S requirements and good practice are observed at all times.Assessing each event’s requirements to achieve the highest standards of technical qualityOperation of AV, lighting and sound control equipment for recordings and live eventsFulfilling events briefs, often with little supervision or assistanceLiaison with suppliers and subcontractorsManaging the technical workflow of individual eventsMaintaining specialist equipment within the various venuesLeading of studio and live recording sessions (external clients)Installation and management of technical production equipment for events, including additional equipment from external clients as appropriateTraining students as appropriate in the operation of AV, lighting and sound control equipmentFacilitating the recording and production of audio and video for staff and students (eg, auditions, scholarships, portfolios etc)Facilitating the production of audiovisual media for Creative Arts productionsSetup, configure and check network control systems e.g. audio over EthernetEnsuring adequate technical support and supervision is provided to students and staff for the delivery of the technical aspects of the GCSE and A-level Music and Music Technology courses in conjunction with the Head of Music Technology.Managing the recording and cataloguing of all school concerts and events, and ensuring adequate access to this catalogue for those that need itUndertake any other duties as commensurate with the responsibilities of the post or as required by the Events Co-ordinator, Head of Music Tech or Bursar Band D (Point 25- Point 29) £23,653p.a to £27,089p.a) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
