mac.calder
Hi All Looking at 2 ways to retrofit into a venue for general day-to-day communications for event, engineering and catering staff - probably 60 radios total with 5 groups/channels. The venue has great wifi which is self managed (Huawei AP's and switches and wifi controller) - we tried running standard 2ways without any form of repeater and we had a number of dropouts in the lower ground and basement levels which is why we were thinking the IP100H. It is about 50% more per radio, but the 'controller' is only AU$6,500 - compared with installing a trunked DMR repeater, antennas etc which is looking to be about $20,000 minimum + anual licensing. If anyone has used them in anger, I would love to hear
paulears
Never tried it myself, but the claims are pretty impressive - and if it indeed does what it says - it's amazingly handy. Icom here have always been good on demo systems - I assume they do the same in Australia?
