Hello All.

The last year has seen a growth in our work load, and we're now looking to add to our team. We're looking for applicants for the roles of Technician and Warehouse Manager. We're a company that grew out of a desire to see our clients receiver a better quality of service and equipment. In the 12 years since we formed we've grown organically to be in a position of having a great inventory, with some awesome people. But we need to add more passionate people to the team to help continue the growth in the best way. People who are dedicated to ensure that the the level of service goes beyond the clients expectations.

We're are looking for people with the right attitude first and foremost - we can provide training to fill in skills gaps where necessary, but are looking for people willing to learn and journey with us as we grow and develop.

Technician:

This role will be primarily based in our Gloucester Warehouse, but you will be expected to work across the UK and Europe as required. You'll be a key part of the team ensuring kit is prepared for the jobs and clients, then taking the deliveries to site. You will also be working on site to setup and operate the equipment alongside our staff and other technicians, but sometimes on your own. We have hardware from Disguise (formally D3), Barco and Panasonic, as well as LED screens from DigiLED and Desay, and are looking to add trailer mounted LED screens to our inventory for the summer period, so experience in these areas would be beneficial.

Attention to detail and accuracy will be key attributes. We would also look for a driving licence as essential, and experience driving long wheel base vans as very desirable, with Category C and C+E would be helpful. We use a forklift in the warehouse, so competence in this area, and IPAF would help mark you out. You might be fresh out of University, or have spent a few years working as a subcontractor or for another company.

The Technician role starts at £16,000 with overtime, 10% Company pension contributions, Health Insurance and other benefits, depending on experience and skill set, and is a full time permanent position.

Warehouse Manager:

This role will be responsible for the operation of the warehouse and logistics sides of the business. You'll be a key part of the team ensuring that things arrive and leave the warehouse in the correct way, and that our clients needs are met. You need to have a keen eye for detail – we take preparation of the equipment as a key part of what we do. If it’s not all there, or not properly prepared then this will lead to time lost on site. We’d also look for someone who can see a clear plan when the logistics get complex, can keep their cool when the unexpected happens, and then work efficiently to make things happen.

You will be responsible for:

  •
  • The operation and management of the warehouse, equipment and resources.
  • Creating quotes for clients as required
  • Liaising with Project Managers to manage equipment shortfalls, and arrange appropriate sub-hires.
  • The servicing, testing and management of our inventory through our chosen rental management software, Protonic Easyjob.

  • Managing our vehicles and transport requirements.
  • We would look for you to have the following:
  • Experience working in Live events.
  • Preferably with events warehouse experience.
  • Experience with audio and visual lighting equipment preparation, operation and maintenance.
  • Computer literacy – ideally both Windows and OSX experience.
  • A full driving licence. Category B essential, B+E, C, C+E desirable.
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • The right attitude, a good organisational skill and a sense of humour.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual work required of the post.
  • Ability to fire a Nerf gun when required
  • Ability to lead a team and work as part of a team.
  • Forklift Truck Competence
  • Previous experience within the live events industry is essential and working in a live events warehouse is desirable. A flexible approach, and the ability to work unsociable hours when required are necessary. In return, we are prepared to invest in you and help you develop your skills and passion for the audio visual industry.

This role would suit an experienced event technician looking to move towards a more regular full time job, or an experienced warehouse technician looking to progress to a management role. The role starts at £19,500 with overtime, 10% Company pension contributions, Health Insurance and other benefits, depending on experience and skill set, and is a full time permanent position.
