Salary: Competitive salary, 24K to 28.5K PA, based on candidate + overtime and benefits

 

JobType: Permanent full time

As part of our continuing development plans which include substantial investment in both our people and equipment we have the opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team and develop the company.The successful applicant will be well organised leader, with the ability to motivate and coordinate team of warehouse employees along with other technicians and freelance staff. They will be at home in a fast paced environment, and thrive under the pressures of working in a busy company. Sterling Event Group has a growing warehouse team (currently 8 members) and the role will involve leading the team to ensure high standards are met on a daily basis.

 

Duties

 

  • Communicating with Operations Manager for forward planning.
  • Overseeing preparation of equipment for productions and dry hires to the highest standard.
  • Liaising with dry hire customers to ensure orders go out correctly and client's needs are met.
  • Hands on preparation of equipment.
  • Managing progress and work rates of the warehouse team.
  • Improving efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations.
  • Health and safety within the warehouse.
  • Managing the checking in procedures for equipment returned from hire.
  • Developing procedures to increase standards and maximise productivity.
  • Scheduling service, maintenance and repair of equipment including organising testing and inspection of lifting and electrical equipment.
  • Managing the warehouse schedule of work and booking additional employees, as required.
  • Stock management.
  • Managing regular inspections of company vehicles and forklift truck and organising service as required.
  • Loading and unloading of company vehicles and trucks.

Training and Career Progression

 

Training will be provided, as required.Career progression within in the company will be available.

 

Working Hours

 

Standard working hours would be 08.30 till 17.30 Monday to Friday, however overtime opportunities will be available and weekend shifts will be required.

28 days per year
