Salary: £21,000 - £24,000 p.a.

 

City Audio Visual Limited is looking to expand its team of AV professionals and has an opportunity for an experienced Audio Visual Technician. The role will include, but not limited to, providing technical support for live events, setting up AV equipment for day events as well as providing maintenance and support for client and inhouse systems.

 

To be considered for shortlisting you should have solid understanding and experience of audio visual systems and live events, an excellent system fault finding ability, experience of Power Point and professional audio systems.

The role

 

 

 

Overview of the role

Therole requires a broad knowledge and understanding of Audio Visual (AV)technologies that are used to; facilitate and support live events, set up AVequipment for day events and

 

providemaintenance and support for client and in-house systems. Core operating hours are between 08:30 and 17:00,Monday to Friday. However, some flexibility will be required in order to meetthe needs of our clients, with occasional out of hours and weekend work offeredon an ad-hoc basis.

 

 

 

The successfulcandidate will have:

 

· Asolid understanding and experience of audio visual systems and live events.

 

· Experienceof professional audio systems and Power Point.

 

· Excellentfault finding skills.

 

· Theability to deliver a professional, highly dependable, customer-facing service.

 

· Strongverbal communication skills to effectively engage with our diverse range ofclients.

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Sharedresponsibility for the delivery of an exemplary AV service. Including, but notlimited to:

 

· Installation,operation and regular maintenance of AV systems.

 

· Engagingwith a diverse variety of clients.

 

· Settingup of Audio Visual equipment on a daily basis.

 

· AVsystem troubleshooting. The delivery of excellent customer service

 

 

 

Selection criteria

 

 

 

Essential

· Comprehensiveknowledge of Audio Visual technologies, systems and solutions that providesupport for projection, digital signage, public address, recording/editing(both audio and video), collaboration and live broadcast

 

· Experienceof working in a busy, pressured environment whilst organising and prioritisingyour own work to meet tight deadlines

 

· StrongIT skills with an excellent understanding of both Mac and Windows operatingsystems.

 

· Methodicalapproach to technical troubleshooting of audio visual systems.

 

· Demonstrableexperience in the delivery of excellent customer service and technical support.

 

· Abilityto operate collaboratively in a Team environment

 

 

 

Desirable

· Experiencein the training of peers and end users in the use of new technologies

 

· InfoComm– CTS Accreditation
