Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

We currently have a vacancy for a Video Engineer.

You must be experienced in working on mid to large-scale events and be competent at delivering to a high standard in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor venues.

 

Summary of principal duties and responsibilities:

 

· Working from and interpreting detailed schematics, including preparation of equipment, power calculations and configurations from technical drawings.

· Leading a team of technicians and crew onsite when necessary.

· Setup, operation and de-rig of Video systems for live events of any size.

· Excellent understanding of the technical requirements needed to deliver live video.

· Ability to liaise with the client and colleagues in a professional and diplomatic nature.

· Liaising with the customer where necessary to source all relevant production details (in particular identifying exceptional requirements).

· Liaising with all PRG departments, Project Managers and any external companies to ensure the best outcome for each event.

· Maintaining the video equipment in a good, safe and efficient working condition.

· Offer technical advice to other team members when necessary.

 

Qualities and attributes required:

 

· Previous experience in a similar role with a detailed knowledge of all aspects of video technology.

· Excellent understanding of the technical requirements needed to deliver live video including all video formats, cabling and signal types.

· Essential experience with projection, analog and digital video systems.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Previous experience of supervising a team.

· Extensive live show operating experience.

· Excellent computer skills including all Microsoft Office application.

· Good analytical and problem solving skills with the confidence to make critical decisions when necessary.

· Good working knowledge of HD Camera Systems, Widescreen Projection, Media Servers and Indoor / Outdoor LED screens for large scale corporate and public events.

· Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multi task.

 

Successful candidates will have a good command of the English language and hold a full driving license.
