SA90
Bonjour, I have a Peavey FX16 mixer, boring little 16 channel with some built-in FX.It seems to have developed a problem, in which every now and then, it will just stop outputting main outs (meter still lights up).I turn off and on again, and its fine. Anyone else experienced anything like this before and figured a solution? S
Tom_M
A quick google for "peavey fx16 intermittent output" brings up quite a few links to the forums on peavey.com regarding this issue. It appears to be a known issue with these mixers and requires a return to Peavey for repair. I think that your best bet is contact a Peavey service centre. SA90
I did consult google, however all the errors on those units appear to show no output on the meter as well, which would indicate a PCB fault...whereas my mixer still shows output through the meter. It's odd.But you're right....I guess it'll be going back to the factory
Sound Man
If I have found the correct schematic for this mixer it can be downloaded from here. I'd guess the fault is down to a poor connection in the ribbon cable. David
