DIN Gender Changer

Back in my (dim and distant) analogue lighting days I bought some male-to-female DIN leads from VDC. They appear to still sell the male to male and would doubtless make up male to female (or even a female to female adaptor) as a special order.

You could buy the connectors and build your own coupler, but it is a relatively fiddly soldering job. Another possibility is asking lighting companies local to you if they have anything kicking around in their scrap pile...

Back in the day I made my female-female couplers up with pairs of back-to-back 8-pin panel sockets, using longish machine screws to hold them together (& nuts or tubing for spacing) & some black lx tape or heatshrink to cover the wires. Alternatively you could use a small plastic box. Either way is much easier & stronger than making up cables.
