Ekij
I have just received a Rosco Ecolour+ Gel swatchbook and it has a 'replace in three years' date on it. I was wondering why? Certainly Gels fade when subjected to light (heat) in use, but the swatchbook? Do Gels fade over time even when not used?Or is this just a tactic to ensure that I get a new swatchbook after three years and so see all the lovely new colours they have made available in this time? V.A.
Yeh - over the course of 3 years they'll introduce new colours, discontinue old ones etc... Don't think it'll really matter if you're just ordering your bog standard reds, blues etc..., but if you use some of the weirder colours then it's a good idea to keep upto date!! mac.calder
And at the end of the three years you end up with a great source of small pieces of gels for mag lights and making split gels. The larger format gel books are also the right size for birdies ;-P~
