My lovely bunch of comedy actors want to pretend to fire a cannon at a parrot on a pirate's shoulder. The pirate will nip off stage & come back with just some parrots legs on his shoulders & would like them to be smoking, gently.

 

They are not in the Tiny Fogger price bracket, sadly. So looking for something simple and effective. There will not be an off stage tech, though an actor may be able to do the change or 'set up' the exploded parrot shortly before it is needed.

 

Any suggestions?
