Will Perkins
Hi all, We're replacing the top layer of our stage floor (6mm hardboard), which is affixed to 18mm plywood underneath. The exisiting hardboard is nailed (with staple tacks from, we assume, a nail gun) all over each board. Are we best to do something similar or is screwing the new floor down sufficient? We obviously want to avoid the screws "popping" the hardboard which I have seen before. Is this likely to happen if we screw down? Whilst on the subject, we'll be adding another layer of hardboard for panto floor painting, what is the best way to fix this to the other layer of hardboard, causing least amount of damage to both boards? Thanks
