jonathanhill
I believe that it is a standard UK mains plug. It is more likely to be a Shuko socket.
Junior8
Why on earth go to all this trouble - make the thing a practical and get the actor to switch it on and off!
Guest
As long as the desk lamp's halogen or incandescent, you can either buy the correct adapter or change the plug on the desk lamp for that of the socket in your rig.Depending on your dimmer type you may need another generic lantern on the same dimmer channel to act as ballast (a generic lantern your not using plugged in and located out of the way). kitlane
Why on earth go to all this trouble - make the thing a practical and get the actor to switch it on and off! Perhaps the lamp needs to come on or go off with a cue rather than a character switching it. Plus, in the same way that a dancer can trip over a line chalked on the floor, actors have a tendency to forget how to operate the simplest equipment once onstage ;-)
