vinntec
I had to laugh when I saw this on EBay - 4 x Strand Patt 45 in a non-working condition for a mere £250! Full of inaccuracies as regards age as this form of Patt 45 was available well into the 1970s (which looks nothing like the 1945 one with the same number) which would have been obvious as the Strand Archive is quoted in the blurb. Why on earth Strand introduced this work of the devil I have no idea which gave about as much light as a Minuette profile with its lenses in back to front (had one yesterday)! My local girls' school had them brand new in about 1968 and I hated them on sight!
Junior8
There was a market for it one supposes! In 1970 they were 7 quid half the price of a 23 and a third cheaper even than Patt 60 flood! For many buyers this was an attractive price point for something you could at least focus!
