bamba Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew of any transparent heatshrink, that could fit over an XLR Male/Female and then be shrunk to fit around a standard Tourgrade Vandamme (2 core and earth) cable. Stuart91 Posted October 8, 2014 Share Posted October 8, 2014 You need at least a 3:1 ratio shrink. We used this from Farnell which will go over the inner part of the XLR, but shrink down onto the cable OK. You need to take the shell off the connector, but that's far quicker than having to resolder them all. (Plus it does no harm to give every mic cable a visual inspection - we found a few iffy leads out of our batch when we went through the process) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
