Crash_Override
Hello, We have in our theater ELC Focushand 3. It works okay but the receiver unit is making "whining" noise, when it's plugged in.Is this normal, that it's making that kind a noise? It get really annoying turing a show. I know that I can unplug it but I would like to know if it's normal.
Geetrt
No, it´s not normal. Sounds like some oscillation in the powersupply. I´m sure your supplier can and will fix this for you. If not contact elclighting directly. They have one of, if not the best aftersales in the business.
Tomo
A whine (or a "chirp") usually means the PSU is failing - often an electrolytic capacitor is nearing end-of-life. ELC will be able to help.
Crash_Override
I contacted ELC from their website. The next day our local dealer contacted me and asked me to send it to them. I had about one month of warranty left :) He said to me that he will send it to ELC and they will send me a new one. This whining noise has been there at least 10 months, that's how long I have worked with it.
