mjriley
Hi guys, I currently own a pair of Ohm BR-12 hi-mid cabs which I currently drive with a QSC PLX1804 amp and an very happy with.I've just bought a pair of the matching Ohm BR-18 subs and am looking for the most suitable amp for them.I'm considering another PLX1804, however is it powerful enough to get the best out of the subs only being 550w a channel and the subs reccomended amp power being between 500-700w.My other choice is a QSC GX7, a lower range, however outputs 725w per channel, would this be more suitable. My other option is to purchase 2x smaller amps and bridge them. mkfs9
The qsc gx7 sounds perfect. Not good to bridge unless you have to really.
