topsy100
hi chaps Im looking for a very simple lighting design package that is free if possible or at least cheap. I need it for students use and yes I know wysiwyg would be spot on however its over kill for what we need. Unless someone can offer a cheap days training on wysiwyg and point me in the right direction for software download reasonably priced or free. jonathanhill
Is this for creating plans or for visualising designs? LXFree and AutoCAD Educational are both free and will create plans. WYSIWYG is certainly not free, but they do an educational discount of around 90%.
J Pearce
We use LXFree for students, as well as a good drawing board, pencil, and T square. They generally learn LXFree quite easily, and create good plans. It runs on either Windows or OSX and is free, so they can work at home without needing access to a school machine too.
