Marineboy63
Is there a proper bit of kit for attaching a domestic Casio type projector to a scaff grid? All the cradles / ceiling mounts I've seen are for fixing to roofs. I'm sick of seeing them screwed to bits of ply.

top-cat
Any engineering company will be happy to make you a steel plate, with bolt holes to line up with the ceiling mount of the existing projector mount, and a single bolt hole in the middle to take a half coupler. (Or just weld a half coupler on for you). This is probably the easiest way. Any local fabrications company will do it if you draw it.
AHYoung
you are not the only person that needs to hang a projector from scaff, theres no need for planks of wood or involving your local fabrications company, just buy a decent universal mount and stick a hook clamp on it. The ones we would sell you have a plate for attaching to the ceiling thats handily attached by a m10 bolt, so plate off, hookclamp on and its a fit for purpose thing that costs about fifty quid and for that matter comes with the correct mounting bolts for your casio. If your unit weighs more than 10kg which if its a casio it doesnt, then you can contact unicol and top whatever contraption they sell with what they call a TM5 tube clamp, which is effectively a hook clamp that fits to a unicol pole..
