vinntec
What is the best material(s) to use for a cyc which gives the maximum reflectivity and can also be packed in a bag or folded on the bar (which doesn't fly but might be also used for storage)? Weighted at the bottom and/or stretched to the sides also possible?
JFeenstra
Poly-Muslin is generally accepted as a 'pro level' cyc. Getting it made with a pocket in the bottom will allow you to add weight. It shouldn't need to be stretched on the sides at all.

Alternatively, we might be able to fold it up to the bar sailing-ship fashion when not in use?.
Roderick
I would recommend a filled scrim like this:Tristan scrim
kitlane
... Alternatively, we might be able to fold it up to the bar sailing-ship fashion when not in use?. This technique is sometimes called 'West Coasting' (sometimes it is used to mean bundling the cloth up before putting it in a bag. It can also mean the 'under and over' method of coilng a cable - depends on what part of the world you are in)
