Best material for a cyc

What is the best material(s) to use for a cyc which gives the maximum reflectivity and can also be packed in a bag or folded on the bar (which doesn't fly but might be also used for storage)? Weighted at the bottom and/or stretched to the sides also possible?

Poly-Muslin is generally accepted as a 'pro level' cyc. Getting it made with a pocket in the bottom will allow you to add weight. It shouldn't need to be stretched on the sides at all.

Thanks - and can this material withstand being folded in a bag for potentially long periods then rehung (and weighted) and still look good? Alternatively, we might be able to fold it up to the bar sailing-ship fashion when not in use?.

This technique is sometimes called 'West Coasting' (sometimes it is used to mean bundling the cloth up before putting it in a bag. It can also mean the 'under and over' method of coilng a cable - depends on what part of the world you are in)
