vinamtaylor
Hi all I have a Martin mania efx 500 that is showing a 701 error I know this is a gobo where error and on inspection found that the magnet had come off the wheel. This has been found and reattached to the wheel in the original position. What I need to know now is there a way to reset the wheel from the control panel or via DMX or do you the to loosen the wheel and move it around the motor spindle? . I have no problem opening up the unit but would rather not if there is another way.
timsabre
You don't need to reset the wheel position, it should do this itself using the magnet. If the error is still showing it could be you've reattached the magnet the wrong way round, the sensors normally only detect south pole of the magnet. Ok how can you tell the correct polarity of the magnet ? Is there an indication on it

KevinE
One assumes you havent taken the wheel off the motor? If you have, it may be in the wrong place, Martin stuff is pretty critical regarding phasing the magnet to the motor steps.
