BS7909 Temporary Electrical Systems course

Recommended Posts

This two-day course is designed to give an overview into the installation and management of temporary electrical systems for entertainment and related events.

The BS 7909 Code of Practice for the design, implementation and operation of temporary electrical systems applies to a wide range of events. The event industry has developed a wide variety of electrical distribution equipment to facilitate set up in a 'plug and play' fashion. Whilst these systems are highly robust, they have led to a level of complacency with regard to electrical design, which has seen an increase in the risk of electric shock and fire. In the event of such an incident, BS 7909 may well be cited in the reviewany proceedings, along with IET Wiring Requirements (BS 7671), which references BS 7909 for event power distribution systems. This course will look at both standards and illustrate how, and why, they apply in the entertainment industry.

One nights ensuite accommodation on site is included within the price.
