soundiesam
Hi all, been looking into agency work. I was just wondering if anybody had any dealing with them. azlan
by agency work, do you mean as 'local crew' or as a technician?most agencies will simply charge more onto the client than they pay on to you, so you wont actually see the percentage they take. you would also have to take care that you know where you sit in tax and legal terms with the agency (are you their employee, or are you a sole trader/limited company providing services on a contractual basis)
soundiesam
I'm a freelance production engineer. The agencies I'm talking about are specifically for freelance engineers.
top-cat
Can you give examples of such agencies? I honestly hadn't realised such things existed, I thought companies tended to book their freelancers direct.
