ChrisBogg
Hi Guys. Im having problems with both our magnum 2000 foggers. when we first got them they ran nicely at 50+% without cooling so much that they would drop the ready light and go into full heat but they now seem to want to do this all the time after 10-30 sec of fogging. Do they just need a service? they are regularly cleaned with distilled water. Chris
timsabre
Are you definitely using the correct fluid?
ChrisBogg
I think we have been using regular fog fluid however it might not be Jem stuff. Its even doing it with distilled water though. Will the fluid really make that much difference to the units heat and cooling cycle? Chris
timsabre
It makes a surprising difference, if there is more glycol in the fluid than the unit is designed for, it cools the block down a lot faster. However if it is doing it with distilled water, then it isn't that. Could be low mains voltage, low ambient temperature...?
ChrisBogg
I wonder if using the other regular fluid could cause the machines heater black problems. that being the case will a good flush with distilled water bring this back to life do we think or are these units going to have to go back to Jem for a service?Chris
timsabre
Do they still make the same amount of smoke as they used to?If the heater block is clogged then they will make hardly any smoke. It's strange that you have 2 machines doing the same thing. Are they on DMX?
ChrisBogg
I need to get them out and have a good play round with them. give them a clean and see how they are. They have been on DMX but can also try on the local remotes. Will let you know how I get on.
