sgm
What happens if I supply more than 10v's to a 0-10v dimmer? will it just max out and tolerate the extra say 1v?
Don Allen
You wont damage the dimmer if you keep it below 15V. What does happen is you are using a desk that has a higher output voltage at full, you will set the dimmer to full when the slider is at 90% or you will lose dynamic range if it is fed from a software package then a demux. The later is less likely to happen as you set the demux output to suit the dimmer, although you might have set it up incorrectly for 15V output.
