Bobbsy Posted December 5, 2013 Share Posted December 5, 2013 Lots of good suggestions above but one other comment in case you have trouble accessing wireless gear or whatever. The brain is very good at placing sounds in a Left-Right plane but is a lot more forgiving in the vertical plane. A wired speaker either on the grid or on the floor in the proper horizontal position can often fool the mind into thinking the sound comes from the cradle or whatever. (Obviously venue size comes into this--if you're working "in the round" with punters only feet away, this cheat won't work--but you can often get away with it in a more normal size venue.)
