loujott
I need to translate my cv into German and can't seem to find a translation for "fly operator" or even just "fly" for that matter. Anyone know?
Robin D
I think the German for 'flying' in this sense is Fliegen. Operator translates to operator so you probably want something like 'Das operator fliegen' but don't hold me to that.
numberwrong
Just submit your CV in English, I'm assuming you don't speak good enough German to do your job in German? It's no secret that most Germans have excellent English, better that you're skills are understood properly and not lost in a dodgy translation. Roderick
+1 for submitting in English. What is the point of pretending to speak a language when you don't?How would you deal with the interview? And never, never ever, just type English terms in Google translate and expect something sensible to come out.Whilst it will make the receivers giggle for a little bit, you most certainly will not get the job.FYI, the German term for 'fly' in this context is 'züge'
loujott
Theatre tech is not my main occupation and I am not applying for a theatre tech job. However, I have this experience listed on my cv and when I got around to translating it I realised I didn't know much of the vocabulary, even though my German is good enough to apply for a job in German. I was simply curious. Thank you for your answers!
