Lightwright Worknotes

Hey, I recently purchased Lightwright 5 and just having a bit of trouble sending worknotes via my icloud mac account.

I've been using the SMTP settings provided by apple:

SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

 

• Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
• SSL Required: Yes
• Port: 587
• SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
• Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
• Password: Your iCloud password

Has anyone managed to get this working using a mac account or would be able to provide me with a bit of guidance. I've tried different variations but still no success.

SSL required might be the problem; most modern SMTP clients will start without SSL, and then if both client and server support it using TLS they will switch to a secure mode. That's the way a port 587 server works. If you have SSL required then your client may assume it needs to start a SSL connection from outset, which will fail.
